our story
Camino Bakery is named for the Camino de Santiago, an ancient pilgrimage route in Spain. Along the trail, strangers meet from around the globe and come together through stories, laughter, and food.
Cary Clifford walked the trail years ago, and sought to honor her own journey to Santiago by bringing parts of that experience to her hometown of Winston-Salem. She created Camino Bakery as a space where strangers and friends can meet, share food, and pause to savor life.
In 2018, longtime Camino managers Lisa Warner and Jordan Poe-Crawford joined as Camino owners. On a daily basis, we work to make Camino a beautiful place where people can build community and enjoy delicious handmade food & drink.
